Product Information

The only reusable swim diapers you’ll need, ours are made to last, helping you cut down on overspending on disposable diapers, which end up in a landfill.

An earth friendly alternative which can increase in size to accommodate early growth, lasting a few years rather than just a few months.

Bambio and Boo reusable swim diapers have a waterproof exterior, made with a durable coating, keeping them intact wash after wash. All our reusable swim diapers are lined with a soft nylon mesh, catching those solids, whilst keeping enough breathability to avoid any irritation. Multi tab poppers help adjust to a growing size. If you’re looking for swim nappies for the beach or swimming lessons, there’s a print for each occasion.

Care Instructions

We recommend a 40C pre-wash first for maximum softness.

For the best results: knock caught solids into toilet, 40C wash, line dry or low tumble dry.

For worst results: Let poo accumulate, throw from across pool at waste bin, hoping you'll make it this time. Victorian boiling methods not recommended.

No bleach or softeners ( it's soft already )

* designed to catch poo ** it's not just babies & children who pee in the pool...

Size Chart

0-36 months / 0-40lbs. In most cases our diapers fit up to 48 months.

FAQs

Can the swim diaper be worn under clothing ?

Like all other reusable swim diapers, ours are designed to hold solids only. If your baby is not eating solid foods yet, we recommend adding a disposable swim nappy underneath. I know we are here to help save and save, but since it’s really tricky containing all forms of liquids insides, this is the best solution.

Otherwise, avoid wearing a regular disposable diaper underneath since it will disintegrate in the pool, and with the salt or chlorine can cause nappy rash.

It also makes that diaper change even more difficult, since a regular disposable nappy can get caught up in the mesh lining.

Wearing a pocket nappy underneath will absorb even more water, and can weigh your little one down. Now unless you’re training the next Micheal Phelps, we suggest you avoid doing this.

It’s a tricky balance between creating something which lets your little one glide through the water at lightning speed, and absorbing everything in their wake. Our reusable swim diaper provides the perfect balance.

What About Pee ?

The fact that they’re not completely absorbent means that it helps with the change and stops your little one from getting cold.

Remember it’s not just infants which pee in the pool…and public places are usually chlorinated.

Regular disposable nappies contain sodium polyacrylate water crystals, which are really good at absorbing liquid at a normal rate. But when you throw a swimming pools worth at them, they get a little overwhelmed. I know we are going off topic here but bare with us…basically high absorbing nappies are a bad idea to swim with because they will get heavy and bulky quickly!!

Stubbon Stains & Odours ?

An overnight soak in hot water with a little dish washing liquid can do the trick. Wash in the washer with a regular full load. Line dry outside with the reusable swim diaper turned inside out.

How Are They Different From Regular Cloth Diapers ?

There are many types of reusable diapers, i.e pocket, all in ones, charcoal lined, snap ons. The list is ever growing. The main difference is that reusable swim nappies are designed to catch solids only, whereas pocket nappies and others are designed to catch both liquid and solids.

We don’t add any absorbable into our swim diapers because they will take on way too much water and droop. Trust us that will be much much messier.
